HISTORICAL HOME OF ELLEN G WHITE (ELMSHAVEN)

We felt so blessed to be able to visit the historical home of Ellen G White, one of the founders of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She purchased the home in 1900 and lived in that very peaceful home until her death in 1915. The home was actually built in 1885 and was known as Elmshaven since 1900.

We're almost there!

with our tour guide... she's so sweet!

It was a wonderful, very touching experience visiting this historical home. I could not explain the strange feeling that enveloped me while I listen to our tour guide as we go around the home of Mrs. White.- - telling us every detail of the lives of the White family in that very peaceful home.

GAVIOTA STATE PARK

(to be updated...)

On our way home from Sacramento, we decided to pass by Gaviota State Park, a California State Park located in Southern Santa Barbara County. The park includes a beach campground (for RVs and tents) and a fishing pier. My husband and I loves fishing so that made us stopped by the Park to see if we could get some fish but we we're not lucky that day so I just took some pictures of the place.

Gaviota State Park is a popular spot for swimming, picnicking and surf fishing. We planned to go back sometime this year to camp and fish.

GRIFFITH OBSERVATORY

It was our first time to visit Griffith Observatory, one of California's most popular attractions.

We were there...November 4, 2006, second day the building was reopened to the public after it was closed for renovation and expansion in 1992

It was indeed a great experience for us especially for my daughter who loves science and wants to be an astronaut someday...
